Born from: Walter Schreiber a medical doctor that worked through WW1 as a doctor.

Gunter found that dealing with the history of people and older generations of more interest than those dealing with current politics.

He rejects the wave of fascism that has been gaining force in Germany and the whole Nazi belief system.

After finding a few minor historical sites in Italy and England he has come to Egypt to do exploratory research into lesser-known pharaohs, the general life of the slaves along the Nile delta.

After hearing about the Clive Expedition he was invited to a number of events where I met Martin Winfield who is a proud member of the Nazi party which left a foul taste in Gunter's mouth. While the expedition seemed like a good fit, he also ended up dealing with his girlfriend of 5 years who had journeyed with him (and was actually more of a partner in his endeavors.) who recently was clawed by a cat and the scratch got infected which ended up causing her death.

So, while Gunter could have found a way around some of the propaganda and Martin Winfield's involvement, his caregiving of his girlfriend precluded him from getting involved during the formative phases of the expedition's development.

She was originally from Egypt, and Akila's death has broken Gunter (which also kept him out of the general circles of Archaeology) He has found himself 'in the bottle' and selling a number of his precious discoveries to maintain his level of food/drink/housing. A few archaeologists have provided small tasks to Gunter as a form of trying to keep him involved and see his way through the pain of his Habiba's death.

Chun Li was another adopted child for X. Her adopted brother, Jack Falcon had also been someone she grew up with but he left to go to the States. She saw him days before he would die fighting the Mythos when he and the party were visiting Shanghai.

Chun Li, Anglo-Saxon named for the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiteria Saint Quiteria]. grew up under a firm, but loving catholic education in Shanghai. She grew up to be beautiful and learned how to manipulate others with her Charm and looks. She also came under the interest of the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Gang Green Gang] and began smuggling drugs and weapons for the Gang.

Animals of the forest report that there is man who lives in the cave but he never comes out. Bramble goes in and is welcome.

Wizened old man with a blindfold at a spinning wheel around gold. He reaches into the coins and they transform into fibers. Too much gold. Name is Nib. Really thin, wizened, dressed in threadbare finery and an old housecoat. A task he must do himself, its his punishment. Granny Nightshade helped him because of his past sins and he earned the gold from his tenants, she helped him see his way to make amends. He can make one gift.

Treant Little Oak, protects the Get-Away Gang

Slain around loomlurch. Blink Dogs mourning the loss of one of those, clockwork sparrows used to communciate with sisters in other realms. Raven's detect those approaching.

Market - goblin market, sells lots of candy treats. Blink dogs love them.

We reach the fairy ring to the North (big toadstools) as we approach we come across….a whole swarm of campestri's. Singing and dancing inside the fairy ring. Undulating their hoods. They are medium swarm. We dance with them Boros, Shaneth and I.

Teleporting needs the following chant:

We head to the small grove to the east. Here we meet a bunch of toadstools. They are rude and move away from being a circle (no teleport.) we destroy a few of them, they are pro-scabatha. We move north across the river

We head to a 3rd fairy ring to the North East we make friends with the mushrooms there.

A Campestri is found near the lake. He is dipping his head into the butter. A friend of his Kro'ah is looking for some firewood to make Campestri a hot bath…

Goblin Market - Kro'ah has a map of the Market/ has a stick of candy and offers it to the party. Market run by a goblin with a Toffee Apple Head.

Granny Nightshade makes kids work in her workshop - she's a toy.

Whats at the lake, its hard to get to, Kro'ah has never been to the lake but heard that someone lives there, its hard to get to. People can't get in very easily.

The group except Ella went up the stairs in the entry room we had originally met Bavlorna at.

They found a chest and some starving plants, Aster watered them and one of the plants gave up a key that opened the chest.

Aster opens up a moldy attic full of junk/broken furniture,
a stag’s skull hanging on one wall, a white porcelain jar with chicken legs standing on a table, a fancy helmet placed on the faceless head of a wooden mannequin, and a five-foot-long bronze statue of a giant frog squatting in a corner, its mouth agape and filled with impenetrable darkness.

Identify Helmet

As soon as the helmet leaves the mannequin animates. Ella went up and turned into a snake and restrained it, we then killed the animated creature. We got a helm of telepathy for that. We explored the rest of the room and found a frog with a mouth that went into a muddy place full of eels.

We need to steal a portrait from her Sister Scabatha and we spit on it. Portrait of Scabatha that she has. There is a way to Hither that a scarecrow knows. Sister part toy, we will recognize it

We have 8 days to return the portrait

We went downstairs and Aster figured out how to open the cupboard. She got the book, I got a bag with feathers of birds, horseshoe.

We went and talked to Octavian and he gave us Flute of Haunting. We went to the Palace Pier

During the Long Rest there are a number of people who had nightmares.

Bramble - grabs some charcoal and inscribes runes on his boots.

Shaneth changed to summer and Ella braided her hair.

We continued to the southwest and found a hut with a bunch of bullywugs who were planning to attack the palace and take over the kingdom. We bid them farewell.

Continuing on we came to another hut and there we found a bullywug that had been swallowed by a large toad/frog. He was regurgerated. We watched the toad for him and bramble was swallowed. We got him out and then Ella tamed the Toad asleep. The guard returned and told us about Bathlorna's cauldron. We went to the the cauldron (north of that hut.)

Cauldron password can be found out by the Magmin 'Firetender' with some Dry Wood.
We went to get some dry wood, but it was all gone from the store.

We returned to Bathlorna's hut and she was bathing in her pool. She asked us to wait upstairs. We went up and started to explore and we went south to thektichen. It looks like the MadCap had killed the Satyr for dinner.

Bramble found Octavian's heart in the cupboard (Elf who was playing haunted tune in the toadstools) pipes. Goat Heart

We went downstairs to the pool with the Gelatinous Cube, had combat with it (Bramble was knocked out.) and after we killed it water started flooding into the room for 3 feet.

We did a short rest.

We went exploring the area and then Bramble hit a tree which hit back. We met Octavian who had his still beating heart taken by Bavlorna and replaced with a goat's heart.

We see a Rain Cloud Balloon: Wonderous Wears merchant shop beneath it.

A darkling 'Trinket' offers us to take a look at her wares. The other is Bauble and the other is Charm.

Dirt traded the color of her eyes to get the Moonlight Monocle (goggles of night.)

We then head south and enter the palace. There in the entrance hall we announce we are there to get proper attire.

She holds up a yellow large shirt for Ella and other clothes for the rest of the party.

Bramble explored part of the Palace, satyr that was captured was discovered. He is caged and had issues with Haregon brigands and then was brought to the Hag. Vansel is his name. / He was away from the group when he met Vansel.

Building with clothes lines coming from it. He met a Satyr who is in a cage.

We arrive to the King after getting garbed up. We are introduced.

As Emissaries of the Court - Return this book to Bavlorna and and assure her that the King didn't steal it, just ensured its safe keeping. The Bavlorna's Big Book of Bad Blood is its title.

Has peoples names and the list of things that they've done to piss Bavlorna off.

We make it using a boat to Bavlorna's place. We head up and find a big room with a lot of water, a lily pad (transmutation) and mirror (conjuration) and a well in the middle.

The well seems to have a geltaneous cube.

We went to the left room and it was a taxidermy room. Ella got sick and left.
We went to the 1st right door - small 20x30 room with a cupboard, fine inlaid silver hourglass sigil.

Two 1' tall pincushions, 1 is a mounted wooden rocking horse and the other has a pair of wings attached to it.

Ella fell through some steps at the 2nd door on the East. At the top of the stairs is a wasp nest we didn't mess with.

The 3rd door was a yardroom we found the pincushions above.

We then went up the spiral staircase and found pictures of people in various forms of unhappiness. The first door on the east was a large room. This is where we meet Bavlorna

Bramble goes to rescue the PC.

We introduce ourselves to the new character. Boros was told to find us and had been behind in at the carnival.

Agdon had stolen Aster's Herbarium book, we found it and returned it to him. We also take his branding iron which turns cold. We bonk Agdon out and then take some skiffs (the rest of the Harendon have fucked off.

We head south on the river and return to jingle-jangle. We return the truffles to her and introduce her to Boros. She tells us that the iron key we got at session 5 from one of the trees goes to Bavlorna's House.

Aster's idea is to head back up to the stump and head West. Ella talked to some frogs who said that there are some of their larger cousins in Downfall.

We make our ways to Downfall and meet some bullywugs who say that their King, Gullop XIX will want to meet us. We follow them to solid ground. We follow the directions to go up the standing stones (one of them was a ghurrar(sp) who we met. Then we went through a foggy area to the balloon factory.

There we met a bullywug trying to put out smoldering fires. Aster starts to make water to put the fires out and Animated Coal We have a fight

A brass brooch like a fly with wings that flutter. If you wear that the King will like you.

We find Clapperclaw the Scarecrow. There are heads on spikes. He is missing his Stag Head.

We got his gourd head and inside was a coin.
If we get his head he can show us the way out of Hither.

Bramble draws on the heads and we take clapperclaw with us.

Join the Soggy Court to talk to Balvorna. Invited to palace to get sworn in. Bramble got a note that he threw away. We found morgort and freed her. (Bullywug that helped rescue the fairie dragon.)

She can assist if we need a balloon pilot

We rest through the night
Shaneth has a dream about tentacled creatures/mind flayer faces.

Aster has a dream about someone covered in silverfish. On her watch she sees water coming up from the swamp.

Ella forms an ice float for everyone in the morning because water has flooded the swamp. We make our way to the East and come upon a huge hill that we hope is the Tellemy Hill we are looking forward.

We climb up the hill on its path and see a tree that is moving around. Dirt see's it and greets it properly. (The Fairy Dragon had taught us the rules for politeness).

Treant tells us about Jingle-Jangle and how she is sad and was robbed by brigands. She lives in the den at the top of the hill. Sir Telavar.

We meet Jingle-Jangle. We trade some goodberries for her to open the dragon cage

Agdon Longscarf hang out at Brigand's Tollway - they came on top of the stump. Best guide in Hither is Clapper-Claw - Scarecrow. In Downfall, is where Sir Telavar was captured. Knows how to get to Thither. How do you get to Yon? Tither to get to Yon, Granny Nightshade.

We release Sir Telavar, his magic starts to come back.

Jingle-jangle fears locks because of Bavlorna. Psychosis for a Neurosis.

North and West from the Hill to the Brigand's Tollway.

O'well to the north of the Hill. Jingle-Jangle tells how O'well used to be fun places, Fae creatures would gather there and use them as meeting place. Since Hags came the O'Wells are spitting water out and making the land into the swamp.

Tree's are dancing around us on the Hill as we go down. One of them gives us an Iron Key. It may be useful later on.

We approached the O'well to the south of the Hill. There are some shiny things at the top of the fountain. Bramble attempts to take one and when he does something glowing comes up and accuses him of being a thief. Bramble throws the object back into the water.

Ant Figurine 8" long ornament & a rucksack (inside is a potato.) . The balls of light want to trade and Ella offers hand puppets (Wizard Hand Puppets)
Ball & Cup game that plays a jingle when the ball goes into the cup. Pendant that shows the phases of the moon.

We look at the O'well carefully after the Will'O'Wisps know we aren't trying to steal from them. They used to have names and Bavlorna drown the land and they stuck around the land. Butter something.

They offer to give us Boon's. 4 Magic Boon:
1d4 at any time we can add it to any ability chk, saving throw or attack roll.. Within 24 hours.

We cross a river that shows those who look into it with visions.
Bullywug lillyblossoms crown flipping through a tomb (King Gullop XIX)
I see a Satyr in a cage next to a lake (dangling off the end of a boom.)

We approach the O'Well and Ella calls out into the well. 3 Will'O'Wisps live in the well. We talk to them about Bavlora.

We continue North and West and get to the tollroad. We start on it and meet a Haragon that sings the song of Agdon, It was Agdon and he tried to escape.

We battle Agdon and his team of haredon's and finally Shaneth finally catches a hold of his scarf and Bramble pushes him into the water. At this point we sue for peace. Aster was knocked unconscious.

Agdon tells how he became friends with Bevlorna. (She unnailed a scarf from a tree) we return with the Haredon's at the trunk.

We find the gourd holder and talk to the owner and get the gourd with Shaneth's memory in it.

Harper and Dan out for the evening.

We find ourselves on a stone pathway but as we look around Aster sees a balloon that is in distress falling about a mile away from us.

We climb down the pathway (hand holds built in) and get down into swampy terrain. We start making our way through the muck.

We get approached by a number of Haredon's led by Jebbek with Giant Snail mounts. They tell us that we need to pay them a cherished memory to pass. We refuse. There is a minor combat with a few bruises and non-lethal damage.

Shaneth charms one of them and we start to discuss why they are stealing memories (in a gourd) and we find out that we are in
Bavlorna domain. Agnor Longscarf is someone that works for Bavlorna.

We make our way over to a tower and there is a balloon. Sir Talavar, summer queen servants, was escaping from Bavlorna but balloon was set about by a ill wind. He is trying to get to the Summer Queen to inform her of the fall of Prismer.

He is about 30 feet up. Fairie Dragon - Ally Prismer against the enemies of the summer court and Bavlorna caged him that inhibited his magic. His Bullywug recaptured him and rescued him.

Goblin named Jingle-Jangle has the key for the Fairie Dragon cage.

Ziblena - Where is she?

The Hags hate each other. Frozen time in Zablina's Palace, heart of the domain where all three of the Hags lands are.

Where Vavlorna is to the NorthWest

To East is Tellemy Hill where Jingle Jangle is.

Ella dug a burial hole for him and we buried WiggleWug

We fought 2 Giant Constrictor Snakes - We killed them but there was nothing in the tower so we set up camp and did a Long Rest.

Recap for Harry & Quinlin

We encourage them to visit the carousel's to get a sense of what they need to do for their 'Lost' thing.

Gig dancing with gnomish clowns. Mood is very upbeat/manic at the whole carnival.

We decide to head to the dragonfly ride and stop at a stall, there is a Red Fairy Dragon.

Aster wins a book to press flowers in.

We finally make it to the Dragonfly rides. A slow speaking Treant welcomes us. He knows Sheneth His name is Northwind. At the start of the carnival, Northwind was there.

Witch & Light aren't the original owners of the carnival.

We find out about a missing displacer beast named "Star" we get a toy to help make friends with it. Its been missing for a while.

We head to meet Mr. Light and Mr. Witch, the intro person tells that things have been rough at the carnival even through they are happy currently. We should try to get them to open up about how things are.

THACO the clown is at the wagon (very surly)

Looking for: Candlefoot, Palasha at the Lake and Durlash at the Lost Property booth. To help us steal Mr. Witch's watch. (I was having internet issues so I don't have why that's important.)

Charm of the Monarch ' sprout butterfly wings for 1 hour and +5 bonus on charisma bonus checks (flight speed same as walk speed.) 3 times

Domain of the Feywild has been usurped and a coven of hags as taken over. They demand that we deliver items and things. If they caught a whiff that the party was able to get through they'd be in trouble. (Witch & Light) They lead us to where we need to go around the Carnival to get into the Feywild. We head to the Hall of Illusions and go inside. The carnival is closing down and emptying out.

As we head through the Hall we see Witch & Light as Sha-dar Kai. Everything you seek and more is beyond the Mirror

Hither, Thither, Here and There; wander yonder, show me where.

Prismir - Zablina lives there. Something is wrong with her, and whomever gets into the carnival without a ticket has something stolen and it goes to Prismir.

Mind the rule of three. Future, Present, Past. Find the Elicorn and free the dormant queen at last.

Kenku named Kettlesteam has his voice.

At the Hall of Illusions we saw reflections of us Ella's didn't look to good. (Haunted look and lean body.) The rest had fairly old looking people. We exited and went to a glassed case. We found two halflings that the man was kneeling to ask for the other halflings hand in marriage and she laughed at him. Bramble went up to the case and started laughing as well. Ella went up and made her save and realized it was Tasha's Hideous Laughter. The male halfling had run into the Hall of Illusions and she chased him and was lost for 3 minutes until she found him and convinced him that his loved one was under a spell. He followed Ella out and found his beloved waiting for him. She said yes.

We then went to the Cockatrice Feather challenge where we had to guess the number of feathers they had molt. Ella and Aster won prizes. (Ella got 2)

Bottle of Witchlight wine - Calliope Wine

We then went to the Carousel and met Diana Cloppington. Bramble falls in love. She is a human who made a 'bad deal' and now presents as a Centaur.

We were able to name the Unicorn's which were able to give us knowledge on what we 'lost'

Ella:
Your lost thing was taken by the hag Endelyn Moongrave. Her lair is a mountaintop theatre. The hag you seek has forseen her own death, which happens during an eclipse.

Next the Big Top for the main show at Midnight: Sound of music and laughter with 3 peaks, there are people sitting in the stands. Pre-show firefly circus run by a dressed up Djinn.

Live elf acrobat, Mr. Light "Prepare to be Delighted" clothing of mirrors.

Mermaid singing beautiful songs 'Plush the mermaid'. Candlefoot wandering through the audience.

Ella asks Aster to Create Water and then she shapes the water into a copy of Aster that sticks her tongue out at her.

Aster tells Ella her secret:
1. I whisper back "Your lost thing was taken by the hag Skabatha Nightshade. Her lair is a dead, hollowed-out tree in a sylvan forest. The hag you seek sleeps in a dollhouse and can't remember the first creature she sees when she wakes up."

Bramble & Shaneth do a poetry reading:
Firefly,
fluttering butterfly
flirting in the sunshine,
stoned on the wine
of summer
flowers,
sozzled on nectar
and seeing stars —
reach for the sky,
fly!
Spread gossamer wings,
sing; take your ease
on the breeze.

Unfortunately, they didn't do a good job but Ella's work was noticed by Mr. Light and Mister Witch.

While we are moving in the carnival we see a woman:

We went to a rhyming competition where some of the party won candy and hand puppets. We then went to the SilverSong Lake.

We caught the Kenku and she has been causing trouble to get Mr. Witch & Mr. Light to devulge what is going on in the Carnival to find out what is going on with Presmulda. Kettlestream says that she will return Candlesteam's voice. Find the way to Prismer.
